The MICRO 9 RTU is currently the most powerful and expandable RTU in a long line of MICRO MOD RTUs designed for remote data acquisition and control applications. It incorporates advanced hardware and software techniques so you can implement your application in minimal time. Numerous hardware and software safeguards are incorporated into the design so you can be assured that the unit will continue to operate for many years in the most demanding field environment.

All MICRO 9 RTU’s are optically isolated and come standard with 256K of battery-backed RAM and 512K of program flash.

Operator Interface

  • The built-in operator interface (optional)
    uses familiar prompts and engineering
    units, eliminating operator guesswork and
    code memorization.
  • The LCD can show trends, bargraphs,
    time-tagged event logs, realtime data,
    setpoints, etc.
  • The 20 line by 40 character (6″ diagonal)
local backlit display can scroll through
several screens of information with a single
    key press
  • For greater ease of use, the LCD display
can be mounted locally on the card cage or
remotely up to 5 feet away.
  • The cage mounted LCD swings out to allow
easy access to cards and wiring.
  • Sealed tactile keyboard enables setpoint
    and mode changing.

  • I/O is optically isolated in groups.
  • Each card cage can house up to 8 I/O boards.
  • Slide-in cards makes customizing your I/O points as easy as removing a single screw.
  • Module design enables easy customization with choices of modem/LTE, serial ports, printer port, dialer, loop supply, optically isolated I/O, compact flash, etc…

  • Up to 7 card cages can be connected to main cage to expand to as many as 512 I/O points
  • Please contact us for info on the expansion boards that are available for the MICRO 9.

I/O Connections

  • Individual screw terminals using rising cage clamp design are capable of accepting 14 AWG
  • Screw terminals plug into PC board headers. MICRO 9 can be “unwired” without removing field
    wires individually.

  • BSAP

  • Option of enclosure with or without local display.
  • Each enclosure can house up to 8 MICRO 9 boards.
  • All enclosures are made of 16-gauge powder-coated steel.
  • Easily mounts on backpane.

  • The MICRO 9 is programmed via our support software.
  • The MICRO 9 support software has over 190 pre-programmed modules.
  • MICRO 9s can also be programmed using BASIC and ladder logic.
  • Easily mounts on backpane.
  • Operating system is field upgradable.
