MicroMod Celebrates 10th Anniversary

Thursday, January 30, 2014
MicroMod Automation & Controls, Inc. is proud to announce we are celebrating our 10-year anniversary in February 2014. We’re thankful to our employees, customers and partners for their support in helping us reach this milestone.

Our name – MicroMod – comes from our two core product families: Micro-DCI, originally developed by the Fischer & Porter Company, and MOD, a control family launched by Rochester-based Taylor Instrument Company. It’s a legacy we are proud to carry forward into the future. Our employees have years of experience in the process measurement and control industry and we have combined their expertise with state-of-the-art technologies and the applications legacy of Taylor Instrument, Fischer & Porter, and Bailey Controls, where many of our employees started their careers.

Since our beginning in 2004 MicroMod has continued to enhance, improve and introduce products to the process control market and now has an impressive customer list that includes major companies and universities here at home and all over the world. By taking our industry-proven controls and combining them with our superior applications knowledge, we’ve created robust, easy-to-use packages that save customers time and money. We call them “application-smart” – creating solutions that fit the application rather than adapting the application needs to fit the product capabilities.

In the years ahead, MicroMod will broaden our product portfolio and offer additional value-added solutions to our customers, our channel partners, and the general contracting industry. “We’ll continue to focus on product development and excellence in customer service,” said Carol McNelly, one of the original founders. “Our success depends on helping customers by consistently exceeding their expectations for quality, delivery, cost of ownership, and reliability.”

“The last 10 years have been filled with challenges, achievements, and new product introductions,” said Wayne France, General Manager. “We’ve built a reputation for process expertise, excellent customer service and quality products, but we know it is just the beginning. We believe the next 10 years will be even more exciting than the first ten.”
